LEON Bet NZ User Agreement
One document, every rule that touches your money. This user agreement summarises the Terms and Conditions of LEON Bet NZ (version 1.13) with the money questions first: how deposits and withdrawals work, which bonuses you can claim and how they are wagered, and when an account can be closed. The terms govern your account, payments, bonuses, gameplay and responsible gambling tools on every website and platform the operator runs, this one included. Game-specific rules and the terms of each individual promotion apply alongside them.
Deposits and Minimums
Payments into your account can be made with bank cards (credit or debit), e-wallets and vouchers, depending on what the website offers you. If you use Skrill, the email registered with your e-wallet must match the one on your LEON account, otherwise the account is locked until support verifies your identity. Each deposit is processed according to the method's own rates, security checks and timing, all of which appear on the deposit screen once you have logged in. The smallest deposit allowed is either 1 unit of your currency or the payment provider's own minimum, whichever is higher. LEON does not offer credit and does not pay interest on balances.
Two rules matter before your first deposit is made. The payment method has to be registered in your own name, and money you deposit has to be your own and legally obtained. An account can be held in New Zealand dollars.
Withdrawals and Tiered Limits
Withdrawals are requested in the Withdrawal section and are paid to an eligible method, usually the one used to deposit. A request to an e-wallet that has never been used for a deposit can be refused in favour of the e-wallet you did use. Deposits made through one-way systems that cannot pay out, through bank cards, or through certain instant-payment platforms have to be wagered in full before a withdrawal can be requested.
How much you can withdraw depends on your cumulative deposits. The tiers, as published in euro in the Terms:
| Cumulative deposits | Weekly maximum | Monthly maximum |
|---|---|---|
| Below €500 (new or low depositors) | €250 | €1,000 |
| €500 to €5,000 (standard users) | €500 | €2,000 |
| Above €5,000 or VIP status (high-value users) | €1,000 | €4,000, or by arrangement |
The system places each account in a tier automatically. The operator can move an account to another tier and, under its compliance procedures, apply extra limits or ask for further documents before paying out. A withdrawal may stay pending while security checks are completed. Players who deposit with Paysafecard may be asked for copies of their vouchers before a payout, and the operator can set limits on deposit and withdrawal amounts under its internal risk policy.
The 5% Deposit Commission
Here is the rule that surprises players most, stated up front: if the gaming activity on an account is lacking or insufficient, the operator can keep 5% of the total deposited when a withdrawal is processed. For sports bets, activity may be judged insufficient when the odds are lower than 1.6. Put simply, depositing money and withdrawing it again without real play, or betting mainly at very low odds, can cost 5% of your deposits. The same 5% can also be kept if an account is closed for good because of fraud.
Bonus Eligibility
Bonuses are offered per account, per household, per email address and per IP address. A second account, a device used by several people or an offer already claimed by someone you live with can therefore make you ineligible, or cause a bonus to be withdrawn later. Casino bonuses and sports bonuses follow two separate sets of rules, and each campaign adds its own terms on top. Only one casino bonus campaign can run at a time. Cheating, or reasonable suspicion of it, can lead to exclusion from the bonus programme.
Wagering: Contributions, a Worked Example and the Max Bet
Only bets placed in the Slots and Live Casino sections move a casino bonus closer to release, and not at the same speed:
| Category | Share of each bet that counts |
|---|---|
| Slots, jackpots and other eligible games | 100% |
| Live Casino | 10% |
| Video Poker | 5% |
A small number of titles count at 70%, others at 0%, and bets on sports, instant-win and table games do not count at all.
To see what a multiplier means in practice: a NZ$50 bonus with a 25x requirement needs NZ$1,250 of qualifying bets. If NZ$200 of those bets are placed in Live Casino, they count as NZ$20 towards the total. Your progress is shown in the bonus wagering widget in "My Account".
While a casino bonus is active, no single bet may exceed 5 € unless the campaign allows more. Two further restrictions apply during wagering: buying bonus rounds or Free Spins inside slots is not allowed, and neither is backing opposite outcomes at Live Casino or table games.
Free Bet Rules
A Free Bet cannot be divided between several selections or bets; it is placed as one stake. When it wins, you receive the payout minus the value of the Free Bet itself. Sports promotions vary in their multipliers, qualifying odds and deadlines, so the conditions of one Free Bet offer cannot be assumed for another.
Expiry and Forfeiture
Every bonus comes with a period for completing its wagering requirement. If the period runs out first, the operator can cancel the bonus funds and anything won with them. After wagering is complete, the funds need to be claimed in "My Account"; if they are left unclaimed for 30 days, they may be written off. Opting out of a campaign through "My Bonuses" also cancels the bonus balance and any wagering progress. Check deadlines before opting in.
Account Opening, Verification and Age
LEON Bet New Zealand accounts are for people aged 18 or over. One person may hold one account, which covers every product; duplicate or linked accounts are closed, funds in them may be forfeited, and winnings or bonuses obtained through them are cancelled. Accounts cannot be transferred or shared, and usernames or aliases that are obscene or offensive are blocked as soon as they are spotted. The operator can also decline to open an account, while still honouring obligations it has already taken on.
To be verified, upload a colour photo or a scan of a national identity card, a passport or a driving licence through Settings → Account Verification. Verification must be complete before you withdraw, and further documents can be requested later, such as a utility bill. A review of playing activity can occasionally take up to 30 working days, during which payments from the account are on hold.
If an underage account is discovered, it is suspended, pending payments are frozen, winnings and bonuses are voided, and deposits minus winnings are returned to the original payment method.
Inactivity and Account Closure
After 12 months in a row with no activity on your part, an account is treated as dormant. That status does not cause it to be closed, charged or drained; the balance remains available, a simple login brings the account back, and completed verification is needed before a withdrawal is paid out. The operator may close an account by giving appropriate notice with reasons, in which case the remaining funds are returned through the payment system agreed with you. Accounts involved in fraud can be locked while an investigation runs and closed with the balance withheld.
Acceptance of Updates
Creating an account at LEON Bet means accepting these terms. Updated terms take effect when they are published on the operator's websites, and continuing to play afterwards counts as accepting them; if you do not accept a change, you should stop using the service. The operator provides an entertainment service, and its liability to you is limited to the balance held in your account.
Safer Gambling Tools and Support
Deposit limits and wagering limits can be set per day, week or month in your account profile. Limits can be reduced at any moment, but not lifted before their period ends. Choosing a zero deposit limit for six months creates a time-out that cannot be ended early, while a 0 limit without an end date is a permanent self-exclusion; a written request to support works too. The responsible gambling page walks through each tool. Outside the platform, the Gambling Helpline offers free support at any hour on 0800 654 655 or by texting 8006, and LEON also points players to a self-assessment quiz provided by the Responsible Gambling Council.
Operator, Licence and Governing Law
The operator is Jade Reef Ventures Corp. (Belize company no. 42967), with Chessmate Limited (Reg. No. HE 461012, Cyprus) appointed as payment agent. It holds Anjouan (Union of Comoros) licence ALSI-202410001-FI1 — an Anjouan licence, which does not amount to New Zealand authorisation. The agreement is governed by the laws of Anjouan, and the English text prevails over any translation.
